Every charge, refund, adjustment, clock-in, and record change is written down. Attributed to a person. Fixed in time. Beyond the reach of the person who acted. Not because your people can't be trusted. Because a business that runs on recollection is a business that argues with itself.
Nothing is deleted. Cancelled work moves to history, not oblivion. When a dispute arrives, whether a chargeback, a discrepancy, or a customer certain they were told otherwise, you are not reconstructing the day. You are reading it.

Authority
Who sees the books. Who sees pay. Who sees the floor. In most software these are checkboxes, an interface politely declining to show what is still, underneath, reachable. Here, the boundary is part of the foundation itself. The front of house runs the entire day, and the books do not exist for them. A staff member's pay is visible to that staff member and to you. To no one else.
These boundaries are tested the only way that means anything: by trying to break them. Wrong role, forged request, sideways path. The answer comes back empty. Not hidden. Empty. There is a difference, and it is the difference that matters at 2 a.m. when someone tries.
Money answers to the same discipline. Every charge is checked against the truth of what is actually owed, before it happens, not after. An amount that doesn't match reality doesn't move.
Your team runs the day. The books remain yours, as a property of the system, not a favor of the screen.

This system was not designed in the abstract and then introduced to reality. It was built inside a working business, on its hardest days. Money moving, phones ringing, a new hire on the floor, and no margin for software that almost works. It ran those days. It runs them now.
It began in a grooming salon. That is not who it is for. That is where it was proven. A full Saturday with animals, payments, staff, and customers in motion at once is as honest a stress test as an operation gets. The strict roles, the unerasable record, the refusal to delete anything: none of it was invented in a meeting. All of it is scar tissue, formalized.
Infrastructure earns the right to be trusted the same way people do. By holding, under weight, over time.
